Client Portal Updates – 2 Factor Authentication

We have some important information to share with regards to our client portal.

From Wednesday 30th November 2022, all our clients logging into the client portal will require to have ‘2 Factor Authentication’ set-up to access your relevant documents.

2 Factor Authentication (herein referred to as ‘2FA’) is a security process in which all our clients will provide a 2nd layer of authentication through the use of a mobile device to access our client portal. This is a necessary change being made to ensure continued security for all our clients accessing our services.

What you will see upon logging into your account from Wednesday 30th November 2022 onwards:

From here, you will need to download a suitable Authenticator (please note, you only need one authenticator as listed above, do not download all of them) to your mobile device. In terms of the recommended apps (once downloaded):


Google Authenticator2 Factor Authentication Setup

1a. If setting up for the first time, press ‘Get Started‘.
1b. If you have other accounts already setup, press the + symbol on the bottom-right hand-side.
2. Press ‘Scan a QR code‘.
3. If required, allow permissions to access your camera.
4. Hover your phone over the QR code displayed on-screen.
5. A code will then appear, on your system – enter the code provided in the ‘Auth code‘ field on the portal.
6. Click on ‘continue…‘.

Microsoft Authenticator2 Factor Authentication Setup

1a. If setting up for the first time, press ‘ADD ACCOUNT‘.
1b. If you have other accounts already setup, press the + symbol on the top-right hand-side.
2. Select ‘Other (Google, Facebook, etc.)‘.
3. If required, allow permissions to access your camera.
4. Hover your phone over the QR code displayed on-screen.
5. A code will then appear, on your system – enter the code provided in the ‘Auth code‘ field on the portal.
6. Click on ‘continue…‘.

LastPass Authenticator2 Factor Authentication Setup

1a. If setting up for the first time, press ‘Get started‘.
1b. If you have other accounts already setup, press the + symbol on the top-right hand-side.
2. If required, ensure you enable push notifications as directed.
3. Select ‘Add account‘.
4. If required, allow permissions to access your camera.
5. Hover your phone over the QR code displayed on-screen.
6. A code will then appear, on your system – enter the code provided in the ‘Auth code‘ field on the portal.
7. Click on ‘continue…‘.

Authy2 Factor Authentication Setup

Please note: You need to set-up an Authy account initially – follow the steps on-screen as directed and ensure all permissions are granted. If you have an Authy account setup, ignore this.

1. Press the + symbol (roughly in the middle of the window).
2. Select ‘Scan QR Code‘.
3. If required, allow permissions to access your camera.
4. Hover your phone over the QR code displayed on-screen.
5. A code will then appear, on your system – enter the code provided in the ‘Auth code‘ field on the portal.
6. Click on ‘continue…‘.


Once completed, you will be logged into the system. The next time you log in (and any future logins), you will be required to enter an authorisation code as shown:

If you ever lose access to your authentication code (for example, you change mobile devices), please contact us and we can reset your access to allow you to set up the necessary level of access again.
