Ashley specialises in Property Litigation, Commercial Litigation and Financial Services Disputes.
Ashley has close to 20 years of Property Litigation experience and has represented clients in disputes relating to a wide variety of commercial and agricultural premises, residential premises and business and residential property estates. Ashley’s experience includes but is not limited to acting for businesses and individuals with conduct on behalf of either claimant and defendant in service charge disputes, dilapidations claims, forfeiture proceedings for lease breaches, leasehold renewal proceedings, adverse possession claims, applications for title rectification to the Land Registry, declaratory relief proceedings, nuisance claims, disrepair matters, business rates disputes and right of way and boundary disputes. Ashley is noted as Rising Star in the field of Property Litigation in the most recent edition of the Legal 500, where his knowledge and pragmatic and commercial approach to his broad range of clients was recognised.
Ashley has acted for institutional lenders throughout his career and regularly advises and assists clients in claims relating to mis-selling, undisclosed commissions, mortgage arrears, fraud, undue influence, disputes relating to business loans and professional negligence.
Ashley also regularly represents businesses in commercial litigation matters, including commercial contract disputes, dept recovery and company / shareholder / director / partnership disputes.
