We have an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Solicitor, specialising in Property and Commercial matters, to work within our highly regarded litigation department.
Acting for a primarily commercial client base, we have conduct of a significant caseload of medium to high value property disputes and commercial litigation matters, representing clients as claimant or defendant.
The team’s workload is varied and challenging. You will be exposed to high quality work advising and representing clients in matters that will include:
- commercial rent arrears, service charge disputes, dilapidation claims, forfeiture proceedings for business lease breaches, business lease renewal proceedings, residential lease extension proceedings, adverse possession claims, applications for title rectification to the Land Registry, declaratory relief proceedings, nuisance claims, disrepair matters, business rates disputes, residential tenancy possession claims and right of way, restrictive covenant and boundary disputes.
- breach of contract claims, director/shareholder disputes, warranty claims, debt recovery, insolvency, fraud and professional negligence.
The ideal candidate will have experience in at least some of the above areas. Whilst you will be initially responsible for assisting the Litigation Directors, you will develop your own caseload and have the opportunity to assist in maintaining and developing key client relationships.
As a guide, due to the nature of the work involved, we are looking for a solicitor with up to six years PQE, although more experienced candidates will be considered.
You will need to be a team player, driven, confident, have strong academics, an interest in business development and good commercial awareness.
