General Office Assistant

We are looking to recruit a General Office Assistant to work on a full time, permanent basis, based at our office in Llansamlet, Swansea. Hours of work, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (including 1 hour unpaid lunch break). This entry level position is also suitable for job share should two suitable applicants apply.

Key responsibilities:

Working within the Administration Department , reporting to the Practice and Operations Director, the successful applicant will assist with:

  • Collection and delivery of Royal Mail and Special Deliveries
  • Day to day deliveries, taking documents to Court and other Solicitor firms, taking internal mail to our Carmarthen office
  • Administration duties including scanning, photocopying and binding documents
  • Replenishing supplies required by the offices
  • File retrievals from offsite storage location daily
  • Management of files and deeds at offsite storage location
  • Covering of Reception and other administration staff during annual leave and other absences

 Skills:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent, grade C or above (including Maths and English)

In addition the successful candidate must be able to drive and hold a clean driving license as they will have use of the Company vehicle during working hours.
